Rustem Khamitov "I am totally against the disposal of any waste in the territory of Bashkortostan"

The President of Bashkortostan said there was much discussion on the Internet about the radioactive waste of nuclear power plants which would supposedly be buried in several regions of Russia, including Bashkortostan, in Lemezy village of Iglinskiy region.
“I will define my position: I am totally against any dumping of waste especially radioactive in the territory of Bashkortostan Republic” Rustem Khamitov said. “I will do everything that depends on me in this part in order that this type of waste repository never to appear in the republic.”
The head of the republic called this strange story as detective one. The head of the region noted that "Rosatom never addressed to the Government of Bashkortostan Republic or to other Federal agencies in the republic with similar requests for nuclear waste placement". At the same time, the leadership of the republic has sent formal requests to Rosatom to find out the source of this information.
It should be reminded that inhabitants of the republic were agitated by a bid on the website of public purchases of "Rosatom" on "the right to conclude contracts for services in the field of comparative law and representation on behalf of the FSUE "NO RAO" on the issues of nuclear waste disposal, including through investment activities". Nine lots were placed there, one of which was a territory near the village of Nizhnie Lemezy of Iglinskiy region in Bashkiria. The Federal State Unitary Enterprise "National operator of nuclear waste" organized the purchase.
Currently, all nine items are inactive, as their status is marked as canceled. However, rumors have spread among users of social networks about the resumption of the lot on locating a burial for nuclear waste from Europe in Iglinskiy region.
