Marat Kashapov is appointed the Chairman of the National Bank RB

By the Decree of the President of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation Marat Kashapov is appointed for the post of the Chairman of the National Bank RB of the Central Bank RF since November 13, 2013, the press service of the National Bank RB informs.

Marat Kashapov was born on November 11, 1971 in Ufa. In 1994 he graduated from Bashkir State University in "Economic and Social Planning" with the "Economist" qualification. He received an additional degree majoring in "Jurisprudence" with "Lawyer" qualification in 1999.

He began his career in the National Bank RB in 1994 as an economist in the department of foreign exchange control and currency regulation. In 1996 he became the head of foreign exchange control department. In 1997 he was appointed the head of the banking supervision and redevelopment department. Since 2003, he has been the Deputy Chairman of the National Bank. From September 2013 till present he exercised functions of the Chairman of the National Bank RB.

In 2010-2011, he passed MBA retraining program "Banks" in the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.

He is the author of 17 scientific papers and publications.

He is married and has a daughter and a son.
