State Committee on Trade RB suggested checking public catering at least once a year

The State Committee on Trade and Consumer Protection of Bashkortostan Republic proposed to republican law makers to apply a legislative initiative to the State Duma, involving inspection of public catering companies at least once a year. A proposal was made at a meeting of the Committee of the State Assembly - Kurultay RB on Industry, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development as part of the report "On application of the law of Bashkortostan Republic from November 1, 2011 No. 458-z "On measures to ensure quality and safety of food products in the Republic of Bashkortostan".

The report on this issue was made by the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Trade and Consumer Protection Guzel Asylova, who stressed the need for making proposals at the federal level to strengthen the quality control over food products. It was considered amendments to the Article 6 of the Federal Law "On Quality and Safety of Food Products " in terms of powers transfer regarding control over quality and safety of food products to subjects of the Russian Federation, as well as Article 9 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Rights of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs" while exercising state supervision in terms of frequency of scheduled inspections of food industry and food service at least once a year.
