The President of Bashkortostan: «Inflow of foreign investments to the republic has exceeded 200 mln. dollars»

The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov making a report at the first meeting of the republican parliament of the fifth convocation, noted that the previous structure of the State Assembly of Bashkortostan had done quite a good work regarding amendments to the legislation on attraction of investments.

“The privileges given to investors by our laws are unprecedented on terms and scales, and it yields results,” he said analyzing activity of the parliament of the fourth convocation. “Last year investments in our economy grew by 8 percent – to 233 billion rbl. In the first half of this year they grew by 2,5 percent more. From the beginning of the year inflow of foreign investments has grown almost three times, having exceeded 200 million dollars.”

Now in the republic more than 110 projects are at different stages of implementation with cost of more than 700 billion rbl. They should give about 50 thousand new jobs.

Today the capital of our republic is on the second place in the Forbs rating of the best cities for business conducting, and on the first – among million cities.

“Such achievements visibly testify to the fact: the business climate improves in the republic. People, businessmen, entrepreneurs have believed the authorities. They want to co-operate with us; large players, investors, industrialists and businessmen enter our market,” the President of Bashkortostan underlined.
