Rustem Khamitov has met with the Ambassador of Russia in France Alexander Orlov

On October 1, the meeting of the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov with the Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation in France Alexander Orlov took place in Paris.

The delegation of Bashkortostan has arrived in Paris for carrying out the republic’s presentation «Bashkortostan — Pearl of Russia» at UNESCO headquarters. The Ambassador of Russia in France noted quite active connections established between Bashkortostan and France with a regular exchange of delegations.

Rustem Khamitov mentioned in his speech several French companies working in the territory of the republic, such as "Schlumberger" international oilfield service company, major French retailers «Leroy Merlin», "Castorama" and "Ashan". Entering the republican market by the "Decathlon" sporting goods chain store is under consideration now. Saint-Gobain Concern develops now a new open-cast mine on limestone extraction. "Alstom" machine-building company constructs a factory on hydropower equipment manufacture in the republic.

Alexander Orlov, in his turn, named water-power engineering development, and renewed energy sources in general among global high priorities. The President RB agreed with this opinion and informed that in the remote prospect a construction of a new hydroelectric power plant to be planned in Bashkortostan.

Helicopter industry development in Bashkortostan was also discussed at the meeting. Alexander Orlov, in particular, marked a promising outlook of modern hybrid engines manufacture for helicopters.

The Ambassador of Russia in France was interested in tourism development in the republic. Rustem Khamitov informed that in Bashkortostan mounting skiing resorts were among fast-paced tourism directions ready for cooperation with French business partners.
