Ufa’s ninth place in ecological rating is not our maximum - the President of Bashkortostan

The ninth place of Ufa in the Russian ecological rating, according to the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov is not our maximum. The republic should aspire to be in prize-winners, he declared at the briefing with journalists on Monday, September 9.

“Results of the Russian ecological rating over 85 largest cities of the country are published. Ufa takes the honourable ninth place in this rating. It is quite a good result. We are successful, developing region; we have good reputation and occupy the highest positions in the Russian Federation regarding the environment preservation. This testing has been spent by the European Union’s technique, without a possibility to interfere it anyway. It is absolutely neutral evaluation. But the ninth place is not our maximum, we should aspire to be the first, we should be in prize-winners: the first, second, third place. It is already an honourable task, we will try to complete it too,” the President of Bashkiria announced.
