CEC RB Hot line received more than 1000 calls

More than 1000 calls were received by the «Hot line» of the Central Election Commission since July 1, 2013.

“Only on the voting day there were about 150 calls,” the vice-chairman of the Central Election Commission RB Nailya Altynova said at the briefing.

Type of calls on the «Hot line» in many respects depended on the election campaign stage, starting from procedure of signatures collection by candidates — and finishing with issue of absentee ballots, voting possibility at home, a status of an observer.

Traditionally, many calls were of social nature — requests of employment, repair of a leaking roof, complaints on out-of-time payment of allowances, absence of illumination in streets.

“We accumulate all these applications and redirect them to corresponding municipal units,” the CEC vice-chairman said. “The hot line continues its work: members of republican CEC and employees of the Office of the Central Election Commission RB answer all questions by phone 8-800-347-54-54 and promptly response to signals about possible infringements.”
