Rustem Khamitov: «Kumertau Aviation Enterprise should achieve new stage of development»

The President of Bashkortostan during his working trip has visited «Kumertau Aviation Enterprise».

Rustem Khamitov estimated repairs progress in the 12th shop, which manufactures vanes for helicopters. The shop should be started after reconstruction in April, 2014. The updated manufacture is equipped according to the European standards. 50 people will work there. Its capacity will make up to 60 complete sets of vanes a year.

In the ninth machine-assembling shop the President of Bashkortostan has examined a site of machining centres. The Japanese equipment was shown to Rustem Khamitov - a machining centre which was purchased this year. This unit is unique for Russia.

The head of the republic estimated the finished goods — blades, fan impellers, fuel tanks and other helicopter parts.

Finished helicopters were shown directly in operation on a special platform of the enterprise. In particular, the head of the region examined technical possibilities of the helicopter, which will shortly be sent to China for suppression of fires.

The enterprise conducts work on production capacity requirements planning; supply contracts are concluded in 2013, as for domestic market, and abroad. But, by data as of July 1, 2013, JSC «Kumertau Aviation Enterprise» has substantial losses.
