The President of Bashkortostan has estimated possibilities of a vascular centre in Sterlitamak

The regional vascular centre No.3 on rendering medical aid to patients with acute coronary syndrome and cerebrovascular accident in Clinical Hospital No.1 of Sterlitamak was visited by the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov during his today's on-the-spot visit.
The vascular centre started its work in February, 2013. 400 million rbl. from the republican budget were spent for its construction. Since February more than 60 neurosurgery operations were conducted on the basis of the centre.
The clinic is equipped at a state-of-the-art level. In particular, local doctors have 64-slice computer tomograph. Besides, they can consult to experts of the similar centre in Ufa, sending pictures and results of research through the Internet. As a part of the centre neurologic, cardiological, and neurosurgery and interventional radiology departments operate. Doctors from Sterlitamak, Salavat and Ishimbaisky region work here. The vascular centre serves inhabitants of Sterlitamak, Kumertau, Ishimbay, Salavat, Meleuz and 10 more regions of the republic.
Rustem Khamitov has met with doctors of the centre and talked about their problems.
“The main issue is lack of young experts. One of the reasons is a housing problem” Edgar Hadyev, the head of neurosurgery department No.2 of Sterlitamak Clinical Hospital No.1. said.
Rustem Khamitov has charged the head of Sterlitamak administration to get down to the question of providing young experts with housing.
«There should be no shortage of qualified personnel in medicine», the President RB noted.
