Modern sports and recreation centre should be constructed in Avdon - the President RB

The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has examined half-constructed sports and health improving complex in Avdon village.

Construction of the sports complex was begun on the area of seven thousand sq. m in Avdon village of Ufa region in 1998. The building should include a swimming pool, gyms, a billiard room, a canteen according to the design. However civils work are not finished till now.

Inspection results of the building executed by "BashNiiStroy" institute have shown that continuation of civil and erection works stopped in July, 2008 is expedient and possible.

The object is unguarded that leads to its plunder and partial destruction.

Now the volume of incompleted construction is estimated in 52 million roubles, including 11 million roubles belonging to Bashkir poultry farm and 41 million roubles from the republican budget.

Rustem Khamitov was informed that 300 million roubles more should be invested for the construction completing.

“It is not rational to invest such great amount of funds into the project developed more ten years ago,” Rustem Khamitov said. “It is possible to construct a good modern sports and recreation centre for 150-200 million roubles.”

The President demanded to develop options offering solutions of the situation with the uncompleted construction project in the near future.
