Rustem Khamitov has headed the list of candidates to the State Assembly of Bashkortostan from United Russia

The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has headed the list of candidates to the State Assembly —Kurultay RB from United Russia party.

“I accept the "United Russia" offer to become number one of the party list at these elections. I am sure of this team and ready to take the responsibility for its work”, said Rustem Khamitov at the meeting with candidates.

It should be mentioned that in September this year citizens of the republic will elect new structure of the State Assembly RB. Making a report at the meeting with candidates to the parliament, the President of Bashkortostan said about results reached by the republic prior to these elections.

“Three years ago we set a goal to improve life of people. The formula «working for people» was determinative for us,” Rustem Khamitov said. “Today wages level stably grows in the republic. At last, we are ahead of average across Russia indicator on rates of growth. Positive trends are already outlined. There are new jobs, and as a result, unemployment rates decreased. Today the unemployment level is the lowest for the last years.”

The President also marked that on housing construction rates we also advanced the average Russian level. Thus, by 2018 we already should have 27 square metres of habitation per person.

Rustem Khamitov laid special emphasis on two crucial directions of work which the authorities should concentrate their main efforts. One of them is attraction of investments that is resources for construction of new enterprises, manufactures, creation of new jobs.

“For the last two years we managed to increase essentially inflow of investments to the republic. In 2011 the increase was of 5,5 percent, in 2012 — of eight percent. And the volume of foreign investments grew twice last year. Current year the increase is expected by 13 percent. In 2014 and 2015 we should reach 18 percent a year.”

The second important direction, according to the President of Bashkortostan, is radical renewal of authorities’ structure.

“Renewal of authorities’ structure is a task which should be done gradually and systematically. And only big and well-consolidated team of associates is capable to do this work. The main political support of the power is being updated and changed also. New people became leaders of United Russia party here. The party overall objective is to reach everyone, to stimulate activity of people, to accumulate their initiative, to involve them in specific activity on republican life arrangement,” the President RB reminded.
