Rustem Khamitov meeting with the head of Rostrud Vsevolod Vukolov took place in Moscow

On April 25, the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov met with the head of Federal Service for Labour and Employment (Rostrud) Vsevolod Vukolov in Moscow. At the meeting issues of modern workplaces creation, strengthening of control and increase of responsibility for infringements in the labour safety sphere were discussed, the functions of labour inspections and employment service modernization were also mentioned, the press-service of the head of the region informs.
Rustem Khamitov said that in Bashkortostan the monthly average wages in 2012 in nominal terms grew by 14 percent, having made 20459 rbl. Thus incomes of public health services employees and social services employees increased by 24,4 percent, education — by 19,8 percent. The share of the population with monetary incomes below minimum living wage in the republic decreased from 12,6 percent in 2010 to 10,2 percent in 2012. Level of general unemployment decreased from 7,6 percent in 2011 to 6,1 percent in 2012 from number of gainfully occupied population.
According to Vsevolod Vukolov work on improvement of workplaces quality should be continued, and for this purpose local labour inspections should be enlarged. In Bashkortostan 20 state labour inspectors are accounted for 1,2 million of employed population. Besides, in the opinion of Rostrud head, work of employment service should be re-organised so that it could compete to modern recruitment agencies. Rustem Khamitov said that Bashkortostan was ready to become a pilot region in these directions.
