Rustem Khamitov: «We should search for additional sources of revenues»

The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov during his working trip visited Fedorovsky region on April 20. The head of the republic familiarised with social and economical situation in the region, visited a number of enterprises and companies, and also held a meeting with deputies of regional council, representatives of public organisations.

“It is necessary to search for additional sources of revenues into the budget,” the President of Bashkortostan said at the meeting with Fedorovsky region representatives. “Half of republican budget is spent on salary payment, a quarter more – on maintenance of social infrastructure (schools, hospitals), the rest 25 percent – on development. It is insufficient, more resources for replenishment of the budget should be found. It can be rent, counteraction to payments of illegal salary (evading taxes).”

According to the head of the region, Bashkiria is an agricultural republic. There is a possibility to provide with products our neighboring regions. However, to sustain a competition, it is necessary to make goods with lower cost price.

At the meeting topical questions of many spheres of regional life were discussed – demographic situation, migration in other cities and regions, industrial production development.

The school education was also mentioned. Local people asked whether the schools modernization program to be continued. The President assured that schools and henceforth would be supported, the raised salary to teachers was already allocated in the budget.
