Bashkiria is among PFO regions where the situation improves in public health services

Bashkortostan was named among Volga Federal District (PFO) regions where the situation improves in public health services. Veronika Skvortsova, the head of the Ministry of Health of Russia informed about it at the meeting on realisation of regional programs of public health services modernization in PFO subjects, which was held in Nizhni Novgorod. Chuvashiya and Tatarstan were also named among leaders.
At the meeting it was marked that the situation with public health services in the Volga Federal District improved in all main socially significant directions for the last years.
On the one hand, transformations should be made so that the primary health care will be as much as possible accessible and comfortable for the population, preventive and diagnostic work should be conducted, Veronika Skvortsova underlined defining the branch priorities. Another task, according to the minister, is formation of intermunicipal centres network with the developed system of telemedicine which render emergency secondary care. First of all it concerns diseases which lead to death rates of the population.
Also at the meeting it was set a task to make regions self-sufficient in rendering hi-tech health care by 2018.
Following the results of the meeting in Nizhni Novgorod specific practical recommendations for the main directions of development of public health services sphere for each region of the Volga Federal District were generated.
