Payments for adoption of disabled children will be increased to 500 thousand rbl. in Bashkiria

The Government of Bashkortostan submitted for consideration of the deputies of the State Assembly - Kurultay RB a draft law assuming increase of the lump sum to 500 thousand rbl. for citizens adopted a disabled child. The corresponding initiative was considered at the session of the Committee of republican parliament on Social Policy and Public Health Services.

According to the operating republican legislation, since January 1, 2011 the allowance is established at adoption in the sum of the maternity capital which for today makes 408960 rbl.

Now 145 disabled children are brought up in the children's homes of Bashkortostan. For the last years it was adopted less than ten physically challenged children. The draft law provides increase in the lump sum at adoption of a disabled child for 100 thousand rbl.

It should be mentioned that the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov came forward with such initiative on the threshold of the holiday on March 8, at the awarding ceremony of mothers having many children. Deputies of the State Assembly RB supported the draft law which will be directed to the Presidium of republican parliament to be included in the agenda of the next session of the State Assembly for acceptance in the first reading and as a whole.
