Rustem Khamitov «The most important achievement of 2012 - birth of 59 thousand children»

The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has presented to the State Assembly — Kurultay RB the report on work of the republican Government in 2012. For the first time summarising the year results was held in a dialogue format between the chief executive authority and members of the parliament.

The head of the republic marked that executive authority activity was focused on development of economic potential, social and cultural spheres, improvement of life quality of people. In Bashkortostan it was possible to provide growth of the main macroeconomic indicators, the standard of well-being of inhabitants of the republic.

“For us, first of all, it is important, how the state policy spent in the republic affects the main demographic indicators –population, birth rate, life expectancy,” Rustem Khamitov designated the priorities in the Government work. Last year 59 thousand children were born. It is the best indicator since 1991. The natural increase made about 5600 people.”

Rustem Khamitov underlined that Bashkortostan was one of few regions of the country where the birth rate exceeded death rate. With such demographic increase it is necessary to strengthen the solution of problem with kindergartens, day nurseries provision.

“Last year it was commissioned over 14 thousand places due to construction of 25 new kindergartens, reconstruction and return of 33 earlier redesigned buildings, introduction of alternative forms of preschool education.” It is much more than during last periods. Thus, from 2008 till 2010, 4 800 places were put into operation.

“This year it will be entered 11 thousand places more in kindergartens. 2,3 billion rbl. are allocated for these purposes. By 2016 it is necessary to solve completely the problem of waiting lists to kindergartens for children at the age from three till seven years,” the President of Bashkortostan put a task for the regional executive authority.
