President of Russia will offer the Ufa native on the post of the Central Bank head
The President of Russia Vladimir Putin has expressed his intention to put forward Elvira Nabiullina, his Assistant as a candidate for the post of the Chairman of the Central Bank of Russia during the working meeting with Sergey Ignatyev which powers as the head of the Central Bank expire on June 23, this year. According to the law, the President of Russia should propose the State Duma a nominee for the new Chairman of the Central Bank RF not later than March 23.
As the press-service of the President of the Russian Federation informs, the head of the state underlined that Elvira Nabiullina for a long time was the head of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, and now she is in charge of the economic block in the Presidential Administration. Elvira Nabiullina accepted the offer of the President of the Russian Federation and asked Sergey Ignatyev to continue his work in the system of the Central Bank as the Chairman adviser.
Elvira Nabiullina was born in Ufa on October 29, 1963, in the family of a driver and an employee of instrument-making factory. She finished high school No.31 with honours. In 1986 she graduated from the M.V.Lomonosov’s Moscow State University as an economist. Since 1994 for 1998 she worked in the Ministry of Economics of Russia, in 1999-2000 and in 2003-2005 she worked as the vice-president and the president of the Fund of the Centre of Strategic Developments, she supervised over economic department of the country as the First Deputy Minister (2000-2003), and from 2007 till 2012 — as the Minister. Since May last year she works as the Assistant to the President of Russia.
She is awarded with the Order of Friendship and the Order of Merit for the Fatherland of the IV degree.
