Michael Babich has prepared for the President RF offers on counteraction to drug-related crimes

The situation with drugs circulation in the Volga regions, results of law enforcement bodies work in the sphere of counteraction to illegal circulation of drugs and perfection of measures against drug-related crimes became the main subjects of discussion in the plenipotentiary representation of the President RF in Volga Federal District (PFO). Michael Babich held a session of the Board on safety. The offers formulated during the session will be a basis of the report to the President of Russia concerning counteraction measures against drug-related crimes.

At the Board it was marked that the situation with drugs in PFO regions remains quite complicated. It is connected not only with quantity of people using drugs, but also with the Afghani opiates traffic, distribution of "synthetic" drug addiction. According to the studies, the quantity of people supposing illegal consumption of drugs exceeds officially published data in 5-6 times.

To change the situation the monitoring system should be corrected. Otherwise the estimation of efficiency of law-enforcement and preventive measures, level of rendering of medical and social rehabilitation to drug addicts will not correspond to the current situation with drugs and will not render essential influence on its development.

Reserves in the field of interdepartmental interaction perfection were defined. The special attention will be paid to decrease the availability of drugs through the Internet.
