Rustem Khamitov inspected sports objects in Ufa

On Monday, February 18, the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov visited sports objects of Ufa where the VI Winter International Children's Games will be held from February 26 till March 3, 2013.

As the press-service of the President informs, in the "Olympic-Park" sports complex the head of the republic examined the specialised Children's and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve on Mountain Skiing. The new building is erected here less than for a year. It includes the gym, premises for sportsmen and coaches, shower rooms, medical aid station and locker rooms.

Rustem Khamitov visited a storehouse for the mountain-skiing equipment. Here on the special equipment by Reichmann Austrian Company professional sportsmen will prepare their skis and snowboards for competitions.

The President specified a number of small defects in the sports construction, and charged the builders to correct them prior to the beginning of the competitions.

Also the President RB was on the start of two slopes which were expanded for carrying out of the International Children's Games.

«As a whole, everything is made quite well», Rustem Khamitov summed up, finishing the survey of the Mountain-Skiing School.

The same day Rustem Khamitov estimated readiness for the International Children's Games of "Biathlon" health and fitness centre and the Sports Palace.

It is expected that about thousand schoolchildren from different countries of the world will arrive in Ufa for the competitions. In the program of the VI Winter International Children's Games there are seven kinds of sports: ice hockey, figure skating, short-track, mountain skiing, snowboard, ski race and winter sports orienteering.
