Quality control of private medical services will be strengthened in Bashkortostan

The draft law RB «On amendments to the Bashkortostan Republic law «On private medical activity in Bashkortostan Republic» was considered in the State Assembly — Kurultay RB at the session of Committee on Social Policy and Public Health Services. Necessity of the law adoption is connected with changes in the federal legislation. It is supposed to set forth such notions as "private medical property", "subjects of private medical activity", "medical aid", "medical service", "a patient” by the draft law. The redrafted law states the separate rules defining principles and problems of private medical activity, rights of patients, rights and responsibilities of subjects of private medical activity, conditions of contracts conclusion on paid medical services rendering.

It is supposed that the draft law will specify the provision on quality control and safety of private medical activity.

Members of the parliament expressed their opinion that today in the republic the problem of quality of medical services rendered by private businessmen was very topical. According to Albina Burangulova, the chairman of the Committee on Social Policy and Public Health Services, the offered legislative initiative is the first step in formation of rules defining the quality of private medicine in the region.
