Rima Batalova: «Human rights for sports are a priority in Russia»
Rima Batalova, the deputy of the State Duma highly appreciated prospects of work of the first International Forum on sports law which was held at the faculty of law of the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia.
“Human rights for sports and physical training, certainly, are a priority for our country. Also I am sure that discussed issues were of intense and genuine interest among participants of the forum,” the deputy said.
More than 200 people visited the forum, which presented 13 subjects of the Russian Federation and five foreign states. Also representatives of the international and All-Russia sports law organisations arrived at the opening.
At the forum such pressing issues, as influence of science on legislative processes, results of the spent legislative work in the field of sports for the previous year, mediation distribution as the way to settle sports disputes, realisation of educational programs of sports lawyers preparation were discussed.
“The event became a successful discussion platform. Participants could exchange contacts and opinions with leading experts in the field of sports jurisprudence of Russia and abroad,” Rima Batalova shared her opinion with Bashinform News Agency.
