Rustem Khamitov took part in a videoconference on spring sowing preparation

On February 5, the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov took part in the meeting concerning preparation for the spring sowing campaign and the situation in the grain market which as a videoconference was spent by the Chairman of the Government RF Dmitry Medvedev, the press-service of the President RB informs.

Opening the meeting, Dmitry Medvedev informed that starting from the next week commodity interventions would begin in the grain market on the European part of the country. Now, commodity interventions are spent in Siberian, Ural and Far East districts.

Speaking about preparation for spring sowing, Dmitry Medvedev marked that the cumulative financing need for spring sowing campaign was estimated as 263,5 billion rbl., including credit resources of more than 150 billion rbl. The Chairman of the Government of Russia also charged the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Energy to take measures on timely supply farmers with petroleum, oil, lubricants.

At the meeting Dmitry Medvedev specified the necessity to increase efficiency of state support mechanisms of agricultural branch in the conditions of Russia's accession of the World Trade Organization. The Chairman of the Government of Russia informed that from this year the new mechanism of state support — subsidising per hectare of area under cultivation would begin. It is provided almost 15 billion rbl. for these purposes in the federal budget, Dmitry Medvedev said.
