Rustem Khamitov congratulated Ildar Abdrazakov with awarding with the rank of national artist RB
The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov congratulated opera singer Ildar Abdrazakov with awarding with the rank of national artist RB and handled the corresponding document to him in the course of today’s meeting in the Republic House. The artist arrived in the motherland to give a Christmas charity show, initiated by the charity fund “MARKHAMAT” for collection of means, meant for treatment of small patients.
“You arrived here with the noble purpose” – the President RB said to the star – “Charity shows of such level are rather rare here. The collected means will be spent for treatment of sick kids. And, sure, we are proud that Ufa gave birth and reared such famous person as you. I am sorry that once I failed to get tickets to your show in La Scala, Milan. Abdrazakov’s family gave birth to many talented people. Your brother worked here as Minister of culture and we all know and appreciate that”.
The artist has mentioned that he took part in big charity projects in the USA, Italy, and Mexico but arrived in Russia with this purpose for the first time. The artist doesn’t exclude a chance that if the tradition of charity shows is continued, he can invite his colleagues for participation too.
“In order to receive stars, we need to have appropriate halls first” – the President RB expressed his opinion and added that reconstruction of the Culture Palace “NEFTYANIK” and opera theater were planned for the next year.
Rustem Khamitov was interested in career and work plans of the singer. Ildar Abdrazakov has told that he prefers to work with “Metropolitan-Opera” since this theater schedules its repertoire for five years ahead and signs long-term contracts with artists. The artist’s schedule is filled up to 2017 and he is busy with such operas as “Don Juan”, “Figaro Wedding” by Mozart, “Prince Igor” by Borodin, “Faust” by Guno and “Semiarid” by Rossini.
The show will take place at the Bashkir Theater of opera and ballet on December 27. All tickets are sold out.
