Initiatives of Bashkir scientists are included into Strategy of Russian state national politics

“Traditional national culture as a base of modern national politics” – this was the slogan of scientific-practical conference, initiated by the Friendship House RB and held in Ufa. Within its frames representatives of national-cultural centers, executive and legislative power bodies were discussing problems in implementation of the Strategy of Russian state national politics.

The deputy director of the Friendship House RB Alfia Semenova has told that more than 40 proposals, initiated by the Friendship House, were included into the Strategy.

“45 our proposals were included into the final variant” – she told – “This fact proves that our republic is considered a site for development of national cultures and the region, where national politics is actively implemented taking poly-ethnic structure of the society into account”.

“We’ve expressed the opinion that liquidation of Ministry for national politics was an evident error” – the deputy director told – “Because of this liquidation the problem of national politics turned out to be beyond the sphere of executive power’s activity. The second problem, arisen at the conference, applied to the risk of disappearance of national republics as territorial formations”.

The resolution, containing recommendations on solution of abovementioned problems, has become the total of the conference. These recommendations include making conditions for preservation and development of traditional national cultures in Russia, taking republican experience into account. The matter is establishment of historical-cultural centers of the nations, living in the region.
