Rustem Khamitov is visiting Republic of Korea at the head of Bashkir delegation

On December 17 the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has arrived in Seoul at the head of official Republican delegation. The goal of the visit is meetings with members of Korean Government, acquaintance with town infrastructure, establishment of business contacts with Korean companies, acquaintance with Korean experience in sphere of e-education and modern communications, public affairs service of the President reported.

On the first day of the visit Rustem Khamitov has met with leadership of the international airport in Seoul. In the course of the meeting the parties were negotiating construction of a new international terminal in Ufa within the frames of preparations for SCO and BRICS summits in 2015.

In the office of Samsung Electronics the parties were discussing prospects of international cooperation with Bashkortostan. New designs of the company, such as its projects “E-government”, “Smart city” and “E-education”, were demonstrated to Republican delegation.

“We actively promote e-education in Bashkortostan and came here to adopt the best experience”-Rustem Khamitov said – “I visited Samsung enterprises in Russia and can say they are organized at the newest level. We’d like to see these enterprises in our Republic and ready to offer the most comfortable conditions”.

Talking about smart education Rustem Khamitov has mentioned that some of its elements are successfully used in Bashkortostan. “But this work is organized just at some schools and we have more than one thousand and a half schools in the Republic. Such technologies have to be implemented everywhere” – the President RB said.

In the course of a meeting with Samsung leadership Rustem Khamitov suggested that a typical data-center should be opened in Bashkortostan and further this project can be adopted by other regions. “Such data-centers are opened just in five-seven regions and the interest in such theme is great” – he said.

Besides, as it was stated at the meeting, Bashkortostan stands on leading positions on introduction of “E-government” system and Korean specialists, who visited Ufa not long ago, confirmed that. Such big cities as Ufa, Sterlitamac and Salavat are interested in technologies of global control of ecology, housing-communal services and transport. Such technologies can be found in the system “Smart City”. The parties have agreed that at the beginning of the next year a group of Samsung specialists will arrive in Ufa.

Some systems of e-education were demonstrated to Bashkir delegation at one of local elementary schools in Seoul. Here so-called “smart classes” mare opened and points of access to the internal intellectual network are opened practically in all nooks of the school. School pedagogues teach pupils according to special methods, elaborated by the Korean information education and research service. The school’ site is adapted to any mobile devices, having internet access.

At Seoul institute for investigation and information in sphere of education delegation RB has become acquainted with the electronic system “Cyber-Home” (www.kkulmat.com).

Besides, delegation RB has held a meeting with scientists at Seoul University. Here Rustem Khamitov received honorable degree of the University’s Doctor.

“I’ll do my best to establish stable bonds between science of Bashkortostan and Korea” - the President RB stated during solemn ceremony.
