Representatives of Bashkortostan have taken part in the XII all-Udmurt congress

The XII all-Udmurt congress has taken place in Izhevsk and 350 delegates from regions and towns of Udmurtia and also from Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Perm, Kirov and Sverdlovsk regions were taking part in its work. Official delegation, consisting of 17 people, presented Republic of Bashkortostan.

The President of Udmurtia Alexander Volkov welcomed guests and participants of the congress. He has highly appreciated contribution of the all-Udmurt Association “Udmurt KENESH” to social-economic development of Udmurtia and thanked activists of this public organization for productive cooperation. Problems of national Udmurt identity were considered at meetings of such sections as “Ethnic policy and the law”, “language and education”, “Culture”, “IT and mass-media” and “Health, demography and family”.

Delegates of the congress have discussed the main directions in activity of “Udmurt KENESH” for the nearest four years. Igor Semenov is elected by the majority of votes to the post of the president of all-Udmurt Association “Udmurt KENESH”.
