Plenipotentiary of the President of Russia in Volga federal district takes funding of the sphere of housing-communal services under strict control

The Plenipotentiary of the President of Russia in Volga federal district Michael Babich has held a provincial meeting, devoted to prevention of violations of the law with finances in sphere of housing and communal service sphere with participation of representatives of Attorney General’s Office and law-enforcement bodies of Volga federal district.

The meeting was held in closed format and its participants were discussing the facts of violations of the law, found under criminal investigation now. The names of many officials, reportedly involved in such crimes in sphere of housing and communal services, were called too.

“We were talking in details about situation in sphere of housing and communal service sphere from the point of view of abuses, misappropriations, bankruptcies of housing and communal service enterprises and about facts of illegal transfers of means abroad” – Michael Babich reported to journalists after the end of the meeting.

“Now we begin to implement the instructions of the President of Russia concerning the solution of this problem with participation of law-enforcement bodies, Attorney General’s Office, Russian Financial Monitoring Service and plenipotentiaries on a complex basis. This work should be raised at a new level” - Michael Babich stated.

Situation with law and order with finances in sphere of housing and communal services will be considered by the Plenipotentiary’s Machinery every quarter.
