Rustem Khamitov indicated the main priorities in development of Bashkortostan

The President RB Rustem Khamitov indicated the main work priorities for the nearest and distant future in his annual Message to the State Council-Kurultay-RB.

“The last year has become the exam on political and public maturity for all of us” – the President RB stated – “Republic has successfully implemented the important stage in modernization of general political system, connected with changes in electoral legislation and with appearance of new political movements”.

Bashkortostan successfully passes this stage of the country’s reformation and the totals of the last elections prove it. The results of voting show the striving of the majority of Republican population for continuation of the stability course.

At the same time Republic has to be busy with practical activity first of all.

“We are all responsible for our Republic and prosperity and worthy life of its more than 4 million residents is our common care. Bashkortostan has rather good showings in social-economic development today” – Rustem Khamitov mentioned.

The President has told that the Republic is found in Top 20 of the most successful regions. Republican economics exceeds the average figures in the country by rates of growth for already the third year successively. In 2000-2011 the gross regional product increased by 14,1%, while the all-Russian showing was just 8,6%. Industrial production goes on growing for the third year successively, exceeding the all-Russian figures almost two times.

“Republic stands in one line with Moscow and Saint-Petersburg” – the head of the Republic reported.

The President RB has underscored the importance of influence of economic upsurge upon quality of life of people. Here the region also has positive results. Thus, the average monthly wage has increased from 15 to 18,5 thousand rubles for the last years. Average per capita incomes increased by 19%, reaching 19 thousand rubles for the same period of time. By population purchasing capacity the Republic reached the fourth-fifth place among Russian regions. The fixed set of goods and services costs by 13% cheaper than in Russia on average.

“Social prosperity and quality of life are the main criteria of efficiency of all measures, undertaken by us. The man and his real life should become the starting point for work of authorities of all levels: from the Government RB to a municipal formation” – Rustem Khamitov stated.
