Tatar public organizations of Bashkiria come out against worsening of public-political situation

Leaders of Tatar public organizations and communities of Bashkiria come out against worsening of public-political situation in the Republic. This statement is signed by the chairman of regional national-cultural Tatar autonomy Rimma Utyasheva, chairman of the Tatar Congress executive committee RB Zagir Khakimov and chairman of local national-cultural Tatar autonomy of Ufa Ravil Idrisov at the meeting, which has taken place in connection with the attempts of some representatives of Tatar public organizations to aggravate public-political situation in Bashkiria.

Republican Tatar public organizations consist of different layers of population – representatives of culture and education, business circles, elders, women and students, said in the statement. All of them take part in joint work, devoted to actual problems. Wide acquaintance of public community with historical and cultural heritage and with traditions of Tatar nation is one of such problems. The Tatars, living in Republic of Bashkortostan, have all necessary conditions for studying their native language. Thus, two Tatar gymnasiums are opened only in Ufa, newspapers and magazines in Tatar language are regularly issued and Ufa State Tatar Theater “NUR” also works in the capital RB.

The actions of those persons, who come out on behalf of Tatar public organizations, raising the problems, which can’t be considered actual for the majority of local population, including Tatars, are condemned in the statement. The authors of the statement consider such actions rather unfortunate attempts of self-display, standing too far from the interests of population, and announce that they don’t support such methods for solution of actual problems.
