Days of Republic of Bashkortostan have taken place in Italy

The Days of Republic of Bashkortostan have taken place in Italy, in the industrial and historical center of Turin – Moncalieri, on November 14-16. Several meetings and presentations – cultural, economic, public-political and sports – have taken place within the Days’ frames. Besides, the parties have reached the agreement that Ufa will in its turn receive an exchange program of the region Piedmont in 2013.

Piedmont is considered one of the biggest and the most picturesque regions of Italy, holding leading positions in the country by economic development. Once upon the time the capital of Piedmont- Turin was the first capital of Italian Republic. Now it is known as one of the main industrial, cultural, tourist and sports centers, mainly the Alpine-ski centers. The region has many common features with Bashkortostan – approximately the same population and the same level of development in agricultural sphere (Piedmont is one of the biggest centers of wine-, cheese- and rice-making in the country). Oil refining and chemistry and motor-car production are also present here. Headquarters of such companies as Fiat, Pirelli, Tecnimont, Cinzano and others are located in Piedmont.

Presentation of a documentary about Bashkortostan was organized by one of Italian TV-channels, shot by Federico Binda and Eduardo Ramella during their trip to Bashkortostan in 2011.

Besides, Bashkir delegation has held an official meeting with municipal authorities of Moncalieri. Two-sided business meetings and presentation of investment opportunities of the Republic were organized too.

The delegation, consisting of representatives of political and public organizations, art unions, business circles from Ufa, Belebey and Oktyabrsky, presented Republic of Bashkortostan in Italy. The Representative Office RB under the President of Russia, directorate of the VI Winter International Children Games, republican divisions of “United Russia Young Guardians”, the Union of Painters RB, the company “Finance Mercury Market Group” and chairs of marketing and advertising of the Bashkir State University have taken part in organization of the Days. The association “Qualitaly” and Moncalieri municipality were the main organizers of the Days from Italian side.
