Timur Khakimov: “The project “Energy-efficient Bashkortostan can become an example for other regions”

The workgroup of “United Russia” regional project “Energy-efficient Bashkortostan” estimated the way of capital repair of apartment buildings and the level of efficiency of the saved means at social objects of the Republic, www.er.ru reports. Many citizens of Bashkiria are interested in the results of this party initiative.

“The project “Energy-efficient Bashkortostan” is socially-oriented and directed to improvement of citizens’ quality of life” - the project’s coordinator, deputy of Ufa town council Timur Khakimov said – “Many ideas of our workgroup successfully become a reality: capital repair of apartment buildings is going on and we apply the newest technologies for winterization of facades. All that allows reducing heat losses and thereby saves money when paying for housing and communal services”.

It was stated at the meeting that some laws concerning energy-saving don’t work in full force and in this connection the members of the workgroup have to prepare their proposals to the State Council RB and to the State Duma concerning introduction of corresponding amendments.

“We have good resources and if we go on working competently, we will be able to improve energy-efficiency not just in the Republic but in the whole of Russia as well” – Timur Khakimov is sure – “since similar problems arise in other regions of the country too”.

In opinion of the coordinator the project “Energy-efficient Bashkortostan” can become a model for other regions of Russia.

All participants of the meeting say that the tariffs for housing and communal services remain burdensome for the majority of residents RB, though they are lower here than in other Russian regions. Timur Khakimov is certain that for solution of this problem it is necessary to reduce energy losses in Bashkortostan and continue perfecting the legislative base.
