Rustem Khamitov has held a meeting with Ambassador of Hungary in Russia Istvan Idiyarto

On October 16 the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has held a work meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary in Russian Federation Istvan Idiyarto. The public affairs service of the President RB reports problems of cooperation in economic sphere and prospects of joint humanitarian projects were under discussion.
Rustem Khamitov has mentioned that at present time relations between Bashkortostan and Hungary are developed quite well but the potential of both republics isn’t yet used completely. The President RB offered to develop contacts in high-tech sphere, in agriculture, tourism, health protection and oil refining. “We are ready to work with your refineries and chemical plants. We want to develop chemical direction and in the nearest future gas chemistry will become one of the priorities in development of Republican chemical industry’ – the President RB stated.
The Ambassador of Hungary has underscored that interaction between Hungary and Bashkortostan develops itself not as actively as during the pre-crisis period. “Now we have to start working in post-crisis conditions. Bashkortostan for Hungary is a partner, having great potential. Bashkir enterprises produce various wares, which Hungary is interested in” – the Ambassador said.
Hungary is considered one of the biggest foreign partners of Bashkortostan. For seven months of 2012 the external trade turnover between the parties has made up 336,4 million USD, including export – 334,8 million and import – 1,6 million. Oil and oil products are the main export constituents (98,6%). Import from Hungary includes glass and glass wares (39,1%), equipment and consumer technique (22,5%) and oil products (10,4%).
