The IV congress of municipal formations to be held in Bashkortostan in December

Preparations for the IV congress of Republican municipal formations started in Bashkortostan. The congress will be held in December 2012 and its goal is to sum up the results of municipal self-government development in the Republic, determination of prior directions in activity of local self-government and attraction of public attention to problems in development of local self-government.

Press service of the Association “The Council of municipal formations RB” reports about 1000 people will participate in the forthcoming forum, including 750 delegates of town councils, municipal districts, rural and urban settlements. Representatives of the all-Russian self-government council, Republican leadership and deputy corps expected to take part in the congress too.

The Association “The Council of municipal formations RB” was established in May 2006. All 895 municipalities RB are registered as its members. The main tasks of the Association are protection of interests of republican municipalities, assistance and regulation of problems of interaction between local self-government bodies and authority.
