Rustem Khamitov has taken part in video-conference on civil defense

On October 4 the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has taken part in the gathering, devoted to all-national civil defense training, held by the chairman of Russian Government Dmitry Medvedev in video-conference mode.

The public affairs service of the President RB reports the meeting was held on the site of the National control center under the Russian Emergencies Ministry.

Opening the gathering Dmitry Medvedev has congratulated all employees and veterans of Russian Emergencies Ministry with the 80th anniversary of civil defense and underscored that the main goal of today’s exercises is checking of the readiness of managerial structures, working in emergency situation.

“The main thing is the speed of decision-making. It increases the chances to change the situation and to help people, getting into trouble in the first hours of a catastrophe” – Dmitry Medvedev said.

The chairman of Russian Government has also reported that the Russian Emergencies Ministry prepares special program for development of civil defense.

“I made the decision to work up a departmental program, devoted to development of civil defense. I hope it will help to solve the problems, still existing in this system” – Dmitry Medvedev said.
