Round-table discussion “Political system of Republic of Bashkortostan at present stage” has taken place in Ufa

The round-table discussion “Political system RB at present stage” has taken place at the Bashkir Academy of public service and management under the President RB. Experts were discussing the present state of the political system in the region and representatives of political parties, public organizations, authority and political scientists took part in the discussion.

The deputy head of the Presidential Administration RB Marat Mardanov has described the present situation in the Republic.

“Public-political situation in the Republic can be characterized as stable and those political processes, which occur in Russia, can be observed here in Bashkortostan too but with local peculiarities. After the procedure of registration for political parties was simplified thanks to the changes in Russian legislation, we can see the rise of the number of the parties, About 30 parties are registered by Russian Ministry of Justice in Russian Federation for today and this process seems to be continued. 21 divisions of political parties are registered for today in Bashkortostan”.

The moderator of the discussion, the rector of the Bashkir Academy of public service and management under the President RB Sergey Lavrientiev has mentioned that this theme is quite important, moreover the region has its own political peculiarities and as for the increase of the number of the political parties, citizens of Russia will define their destiny.

“Political system is presented not only by political parties but it is formed by public opinion too” – he said – “Public society is the base of any system, including a political one. At the same time the institute for public opinion investigation is sill developed poorly here and without public society and its investigation it is too difficult to provide normal development of both the society and the political system as well’.

“Our political system is found at the very beginning of public society formation” – the head of “United Russia” regional division Albert Miftakhov said – “Now it is practically absent and not yet formed. The practice of Russian state system shows that any attempts for formation of public society always came from above. In this connection I support any initiatives, aimed at solution of this problem, including a dialogue between political parties”.
