A town council of seniors is established in Kumertau

The first gathering of the town council of seniors, dated to the international Day of elderly people, has taken place in Kumertau. The main goal of the project is making conditions for interaction between people of elderly age and representatives of local power bodies, attraction of elderly people to public activity and the use of their experience and professionalism in everyday life of the town.

The council of seniors was established in the town within the frames of the World Health Organization’s project “The city, where old age is not a trying stage – the city for all ages”. Representatives of municipal institutions of culture and population social protection were invited to the gathering. They told the audience about projects and programs for elderly people, developed in the town. During the gathering its participants might answer questions and make their own proposals.
