President of Bashkortostan has taken part in a meeting of Volga federal district’s council on migration policy

The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has taken part in a meeting of the council under the Plenipotentiary of the President of Russia in Volga federal district, held yesterday in Saratov. Regional aspects and the concept of state migration policy were under discussion there, reported on the site of the President RB.

The Plenipotentiary of the President of Russia in Volga federal district Michael Babitch has mentioned at the meeting that because of geographic peculiarities the theme of migration policy is of paramount importance for the district and, according to him, migration started affecting security of the district’s population.

Besides, problems, connected with the necessity to improve migration legislation, with attraction of foreign labor force and with regulation of international relations in the process of migration were also under discussion.

“Many problems are already solved but the problem of migration still remains vital for all regions. There are no simple solutions here but I believe that our proposals will be useful and will become true” – Michael Babich mentioned.
