Foundation of bio-reserve “Bashkir Ural” to be discussed by TURKSOY members in Astana

Delegation of Bashkortostan will take part in the third gathering of representatives of national committees for UNESCO affairs of TURKSOY members. The gathering will be held in Astana on September 13-14.

The main goal of the forthcoming wide-scaled gathering in Kazakhstan is consolidation of cooperation between countries- the members of TURKSOY on all directions of UNESCO activity.

Problems of preservation and inventory of objects of cultural, natural and documentary heritage in Turk world will become the prior topics, offered for discussion. Realization of joint programs and projects in sphere of education, science, culture and communications, including the line of UNESCO affiliated schools, chairs and clubs, will be under discussion there too, press service of the Ministry for nature management and ecology RB reports.

Representatives of national committees for UNESCO affairs of the countries – members of TURKSOY, heads of national commissions for UNESCO affairs, chairmen of national committees and UNESCO programs (“Memory of the World”, “Man and Biosphere” and “Non-material cultural heritage”) will participate in work of the two-day forum.

Bashkortostan’s delegation consists of representatives of Ministry of education RB, Ministry for nature management and ecology RB, Ministry of culture RB, UNESCO Affairs Committee RB and administration of Burzianski region RB.

One of the themes, which are expected to be discussed in Astana, will be foundation of a biospheric reserve “Bashkir Ural” in Republic of Bashkortostan.
