Evgeniy Semivelichenko: «The City Council is not a place for political battles»

The chairman of Ufa City Council Evgeniy Semivelichenko during online conference on the website of i-gazeta informed that the political affiliation of deputies of the City Council does not influence the quality of their work.

“Today in the City Council four political parties are presented: «United Russia», "LDPR", «Just Russia» and the Communist Party of the Russian Federation”, the head of the Ufa City Council reminded. “Despite of political variety, the City Council did not become a place for political battles. We work together and the political affiliation does not influence acceptance of important decisions for our city”.

Answering a question of an i-gazeta user about expediency in Ufa of posts of the chairman of the City Council and the head of administration of Ufa, Evgeniy Semivelichenko reminded that the existing structure is formed according to the law and legal norms.

“The chairman of the City Council is the head of Ufa city district”, Evgeniy Semivelichenko said. Ufa does not have Mayor as such: according to the charter the representative fr om townsmen is appointed the head of the city administration. Namely Irek Yalalov is the city-manager of the capital of Bashkortostan, the representative of enforcement authority wh ereas deputies of the City Council represent a legislative body. Liquidation of one of posts is impossible both from the legislative point of view, and from the management efficiency position.
