Rustem Khamitov participates in the Volga Federal District meeting

In Samara the plenipotentiary of the President RF in the Volga Federal District (PFO) Michael Babich holds a meeting on counteraction to religious extremism and development of transport complex in the district. The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov takes part in it.

At the meeting the minister of transport RF Maxim Sokolov, heads of Volga regions, experts and specialists in the field of civil aircraft discuss problems of the transport complex of the district and ways of their solution.

Projects providing removal of infrastructure restrictions in the Volga transport complex and its connection to the global transport system will be presented at the meeting, the press-service of the Plenipotentiary of the President RF in PFO informs. The presentation of the pilot project on regional aircraft development in PFO is planned. The first result of this work to be presented at the meeting.

Besides, at the meeting they will discuss construction of the international highway «Europe — the Western China» (through the territory of Russia to Sankt-Peterburg-Kazan-Orenburg – to the Republic Kazakhstan border), building and reconstruction in the district territory parts of highways which are included in the network of federal highways, in direction Centre-Ural («the Volga transit»), trunk-railway construction «Solikamsk – Syktyvkar – Arkhangelsk» ("Belkomur"), construction of low-head water development in the Nizhniy Novgorod area (Kozino settlement). The project is among the major tasks on development of internal waterways.
