Totals of spring draft: 6400 residents of Bashkortostan are recruited to Russian Armed Forces

In the course of the spring draft, held from April 1 to July 15, 6400 residents of Bashkortostan have left for the Armed Forces of Russia.

Our young boys are recruited to all military districts of Russia. The majority of them (more than 60%) will serve in land forces. Only 25 recruits have left for the military bases, located abroad: they will serve in the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol (Crimea, Ukraine). More than 100 natives of Bashkiria chose contractual service in Tajikistan.

The Military Commissar RB Anatoly Baltinsky says the education level of recruited young people raises every year. 20,8% of young people, having higher education, have been recruited to the Russian Armed Forces this year, about 9% have only 9 classes of elementary school behind their shoulders and the rest have either primary professional or secondary professional education.

“In a whole we are watching the tendency to reduction of the number of draftees and the accent is put on professional army, consisting of contractual servicemen” – Anatoly Baltinsky stated.
