Bashkir lawmakers are in the lead among regions of Russia by quantity of legislative proposals to the State Duma

Legislators of Bashkortostan surpass level of their colleagues in other regions of Russia in quantity of legislative initiatives brought into the State Duma. The Chairman of the State Assembly – Kurultay RB Konstantin Tolkachev said about it during online conference on “i-gazeta”.

If from subjects of Russia on average about seven percent of new legislative proposals comes then from our republic this figure makes more than ten percent, — the speaker of the republican parliament informed. Despite it we are not satisfied by the level of interaction with the State Duma, he said.

According to Konstantin Tolkachev, many proposals undergoing coordination procedure are rejected because the budget of the Russian Federation does not provide funds for the decision of questions presented in such draft bills.

At the same time, according to the speaker, the tendency is observed that further proposals of Bashkir lawmakers nevertheless are realised at the legislative level.

For today our 29 legislative initiatives are in the State Duma, the Chairman of the Republican State Assembly informed. Frequently, it takes several years to achieve the law status. We are interested in that the federal legislative field to be constantly improved, and the opinion of subjects thus to be considered.
