President of Bashkortostan will participate in a meeting of Volga federal district’s council in Penza

On June 29 the Plenipotentiary of the President of Russia in Volga federal district Michael Babitch will hold a meeting of Volga federal district’s council in Penza. The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov will also take part in its work.

Governors and State Duma deputies intend to discuss efficiency of public management and problems with quality of public services in regions of Volga zone. The PR-service of the Plenipotentiary of the President RF in Volga federal district reports that according to the federal legislation it will be prohibited for public departments to request information, already stored in other departmental databases, from citizens beginning from July 1, 2012. People will be saved from numerous excursions to officials for getting either state or municipal services.

The governor of Penza region Basil Bochkarev will take the floor with the main report. He will tell about public activity on transition to rendering of e-services and about making the system of interdepartmental electronic interaction in the regions. He will also report how the unified portal of public services and regional portals already function.

Participants of the meeting will also discuss the way of modernization of the political system in the country in regions of Volga federal district. All regional laws about direct elections of local governors should be brought in conformity with the federal legislation before July 1, 2012.
