Rustem Khamitov has carried on negotiations with Safran group management

On June 21, in St.-Petersburg the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov met with the Chief Executive Officer of Safran group Jean Paul Herteman, Executive Vice President-International Bruno Cotte and managing director of Safran representative office in Moscow Marc Sorel. The head of Administration of the President RB Vladimir Balabanov and the Minister of Economic Development RB Evgenie Mavrin also took part in the meeting.

Rustem Khamitov invited Jean-Paul Herteman to Bashkortostan.

— We have very good, large engine factory, for today it is number one in the Russian Federation, — Rustem Khamitov marked.

The Bashkortostan President shared his impressions while visiting Turbomeca company in France.

It is classical engine manufacture, thus modern, modernised and we would like to co-operate with such enterprises, he marked.

Jean-Paul Herteman said about cooperation of Safran company with Russia throughout already several years in different fields of activity.

— I am sure that cooperation between Safran and Russia, in particular, in the sphere of helicopter engine-building is of great value, — he underlined. — I am ready to begin cooperation with Ufa in the field of the industry. Each party thus should obtain positive results as we managed to do it with NPO "Saturn" on SaM146 (the engine model for regional-long-range aircrafts SSJ100). In the long term we need to make strategic decisions. I am open for such cooperation.
