Vladimir Putin has held a working meeting with Bashkortostan President Rustem Khamitov

Today social and economic situation in Bashkortostan was discussed during a working meeting of Vladimir Putin and Bashkortostan President Rustem Khamitov in Moscow, the press-service of the President of Russia informs.

Rustem Khamitov has submitted a presentation on the main indicators of the region work.

— Five months of 2012 were quite good for us: it concerns an increase tendency in total regional product and also industrial production index, — the head of the region marked. — The industrial production index made 107,5 percent. Moreover, investments grow in all spheres, first of all in the manufacturing industry.

The head of the republic underlined success in construction branch and real growth of the population incomes.

The Bashkortostan President reported to the head of the state about a number of large projects, including the project of raw gas delivery for economy development of the Urals and the Volga region.

— It is offered to consider a variant of a pipeline construction for natural gas liquids transportation from the Yamal province, Yamal deposits to the Volga region. It will boost sharply manufacture and of course increase significantly amount of workplaces, — Rustem Khamitov is convinced.

Vladimir Putin was interested in the state of social sphere and, first of all, wages level.

— We realised all intended plans and tasks set by you, — the President of Bashkortostan assured. — Average wages among teachers following the results of 2011 grew for 30 percent, and following the results of five months 2012 they almost reach average wages over Bashkortostan Republic.

Issues of public health services modernization were also discussed at the meeting.
