President of Bashkortostan has held a meeting with delegation of Uruguay

On May 22, Tuesday, the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has held a work meeting with delegation of Uruguay, headed by the director of the state company ANCAP Raul Fernando Sendic Rodriguez, in the Republic House.

Delegation is found in Ufa on a business visit – guests acquaint themselves with industrial and investment potential RB and take part in the exhibition “Gas, Oil, Technologies-2012”, opened in Ufa yesterday.

Rustem Khamitov has thanked delegation of Uruguay for participation in this international exhibition.

In opinion of Rustem Khamitov fuel-energy complex, machine building, oil chemistry and geological survey can become the key directions for mutual cooperation.

“I know that your corporation works with production of foods and sugar. We are interested in all possible directions of cooperation. Uruguay is suitable from the point of view of geography and you have favorable investment climate. Business people of your Republic would work with business of our country with pleasure and I think we should fix such cooperation in documents” – the President RB said – “I believe that forthcoming signing of a memorandum between our ministries and your company will make a solid base for further cooperation”.

Raul Fernando Rodriguez thanked the head of the Republic for invitation to visit Bashkortostan.

“During eight years I head the Uruguay’s fuel company. Our company is considered the biggest in the country; we also manufacture bio-fuel, foods and products of oil chemistry. I think we can cooperate with Bashkortostan in abovementioned spheres” – the head of Uruguay’s delegation stated.

For the reference: ANCAP is considered the biggest industrial state company of Uruguay with annual circulation about 1 billion USD. The company possesses monopoly right of control over production of strong drinks, fuels, cement as well as over oil import, processing and sales.
