Public Chamber RB supports political reform in Russia

Public Chamber of Bashkortostan expresses support of the political reform in Russia, directed to simplification of registration procedure for political parties, introduction of direct elections of regional governors, the rise of the role of public structures and consolidation of the political system of the country.

“We think that bringing of the legislation RB in conformity with the federal one should be done in time and with good quality” – the chairman of the Public Chamber RB Asgat Gumerov said to the news agency “Bashinform” – “In our opinion the order of nomination to the post of regional governors is quite reasonable and contributes to selection of really worthy leaders, deeply connected with their territories and citizens. The political reform will result in the rise of importance of local self-government bodies and it also meets the tasks on democratization of the state. Republican legislation has to make the conditions for growth of political competition and further development of public society”.

Public Chamber of Bashkortostan expresses readiness to take part in elaboration of alterations in Republican legislation concerning elections and it is ready to make a site for wide debates.
