Solemn meeting, devoted to the 25th anniversary of the Union of Women RB, is held in Ufa, the National Youth Theater by M. Karim, today.

The Union of Women RB includes 70 town and regional female councils, 1386 rural female councils and 752 corporate councils plus six public organizations. Rashida Sultanova heads the Union for already more than 10 years – the woman of violent energy and initiator of all Union’s beginnings.

The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov sent his salutary address to the Union of Women RB, read out by the deputy head of the Presidential Administration Viktor Pchelintsev at the solemn meeting.

“The Union of Women RB has become important and active participant of public life in the Republic. The Union makes great endowment to conducting efficient social-economic policy, to improvement of demography, protection of motherhood and childhood and to preservation of favorable spiritual and moral climate” – said in the Presidential message.

The Union continues and develops the best traditions of feminine public movement in Russia, actively working with the authority and local self-government bodies on elaboration of legislative acts and republican programs for improvement of positions of women, families and kids in our society.
