Rustem Khamitov has visited Kugarchinsky and Meleuzovsky regions

On March 31 the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has paid visits to Kugarchinsky and Meleuzovsky regions of the Republic, the public affairs service of the President RB reported.

In the village Maksutovo the President RB has inspected local outpatient clinic. Here he talked to medical workers. In the course of this talk three young doctors-participants of the federal program “Provincial Doctor” – received the corresponding contracts. The essence of the program is that every young medic, wishing to start working in the countryside and to work there during at least five years, receives an installation grant at the rate of one million rubles from the state. Bashkortostan has become one of the first Russian regions, taking part in the program. Beginning from this year Bashkir budget will pay 100 thousand rubles to young doctors, wishing to work in Bashkir villages, according to the similar Republican program.

The President RB mentioned that “rural medicine is the biggest problem, first from the point of view of shortage of apartments, second, from the point of view of shortage of medical equipment and the main problem is a shortage of specialists. We are facing the lack of almost 1200 specialists in the countryside now”.
