Vladimir Putin suggested that the measures in respect of milk producers, using vegetable fat, should be toughened

The Chairman of the Russian Government Vladimir Putin says it is necessary to toughen the measures in respect of those food producers, which use vegetable fat in milk production. The Chairman has said about it at the all-Russian agrarian forum in Ufa.

Technical regulations for the use of vegetable fat have been recently toughened.

The Chairman of the Russian Government has mentioned that this problem seriously hampers development of cheese making in Russia. Vladimir Putin already discussed this problem with some regional leaders and, as he said, they are seriously anxious concerning development of such situation.

This problem becomes especially urgent in the light of the recent veto, imposed by the Russian Agency for Health and Consumer Rights on import of 129 tons of Ukrainian cheese, manufactured with coconut and palm oil, to Russia.
